On February 1, 2018, AIJU, as coordinator of the H2020 ToyLabs project, presented the paper "TOLABS: New methodologies to reduce time to market" within the Toy Business Forum of Nuremberg.
During this presentation at the Toy Fair Spielwarenmesse, the participants were informed of the new business model proposed by ToyLabs that supports creativity models and production cycles of SMEs in the toy industry.
The overall goal of the project is to help toy manufacturer SME reduce time to market and be able to bring to market more appropriate and higher quality toys and reduce manufacturing time and costs. All this thanks to the platform based on co-creation and user validation in all phases, starting with an analysis of comments from customers and experts around a specific word or toy and the possibility to obtain early feedback, recommendations for improvement and possible concerns.
The platform is currently in the validation stages with the toy companies JUEMA and V-CUBES, with expectations of reducing the launch time of a toy by up to 50%, from its concept to its implementation in the market.
The toy manufacturers and designers that attended to the conference showed great interest in the proposed methodology and the platform that’s under development.
